What type of paint do you use?
I use oil paint!
How do I get a commission from you?
To get a commissioned painting from me, I'll just need your email address and name filled out in the form and I'll contact you from there!
How long does it take to paint a pet portrait?
Depending on the size and complexity, I willl usually have pet portraits completed in 2-4 days! However, since I am using oil paint, it will take an additional 3-5 days to dry completely.
What kind of photo is best for a pet portrait?
I prefer working from photos where the pet is facing forward, captured at its eye level with excellent picture resolution and natural lighting. This helps me capture the painting's maximum detail. However, you can always send a few different photos of the animal (that are at good resolution), and I can work from those!
Can you paint more than one animal in the painting? What animals can you paint?
Of course! Even if you provide two separate photos of two different pets, I can work them into the piece together. Also I am able to paint any animal!
What do I need to do to prepare for the commission?
When you leave your email address and name, I will be in contact with you. From there, make sure you have a good idea on what size portrait you'd like, some good sample photos of the animal(s), an idea for the background (simple color, gradient, or other (ex: space, flowers, fields, etc), and any other requests. From there, I can give you a quoted time frame and will collect 50% of the final sale, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
